Mark P. Vogel, Ph.D

Dr. Vogel has been in practice for 40 years. He has been affiliated with the SUNY Binghamton Psychology Department, has conducted independent research in area schools on drug and alcohol problems in conjunction with Colgate University, and has appeared in court as an expert witness on hundreds of occasions to testify in child custody, child abuse, and other forensic matters. He has been a consultant to over 30 schools and professional organizations.
Clinical specialties include adult, child, adolescent, and couple therapies, psychological testing, alcohol evaluations, and child custody evaluations. Dr. Vogel is the founding member of the practice which bears his name.
Debra A. Kman, LCSW-R

Debra Kman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides treatment to individuals, couples, and families facing a number of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, PTSD, and behavioral issues. While studying at Syracuse, Debra completed internships at Hospice of Central New York, and the Madison County Mental Health Clinic. Upon completing her graduate studies, Debra was a therapist at Catholic Charities of Chenango County for approximately 7 years. She gained experience in working with traumatized children and adults throughout this position.
She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a form of therapy which helps victims of trauma unlock painful memories in an effort to relieve emotional distress. Her work also included facilitating therapy and psycho-educational groups for adult and teen sexual abuse survivors, victims of domestic violence, children with behavioral difficulties, and women utilizing expressive arts in an effort to relieve depression and anxiety.
Debra joined the practice of Mark P. Vogel in February of 2007. She continues to work with children, adults, and families in providing psychotherapy. She specializes in trauma work utilizing EMDR. She is also the Mental Health Consultant for Chenango County Head Start.

Deborah Sharp, Ph.D

During her clinical training, Dr. Sharp gained experience with a wide range of clients in several settings including an outpatient clinic, a university counseling center, and a treatment facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. During her graduate work, Dr. Sharp was actively involved in research.
In particular, she studied relationship patterns in individuals who suffer from bulimia and worked in a research program to explore relationship patterns of individuals in abusive relationships.
Dr. Sharp completed a pre-doctoral internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she gained experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit, treating and evaluating children and providing psychological services for individuals who had experienced debilitating injuries. Following internship, she worked for the Chenango County Mental Health Clinic for 5 years as a member of the Tri-County Forensic Team. Since January 2005, she has worked in private practice providing treatment to individuals, families, and couples of all ages with a wide variety of difficulties including, but not limited to depression, anxiety and panic, sexual issues, anger management problems, relationship issues, behavior problems, and parenting issues.
Kiernan Hamilton, LCSW-R

Kiernan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience providing services to a diverse group of populations. She first worked in Madison County as a family therapist providing in-home therapy to at-risk youth and their families. She then spent approximately 9 years at Chenango County Behavioral Health Services, where she obtained experience treating many conditions such as anxiety, depression, serious and persistent mental illness, trauma and family problems. She also provided supervision and training to social work interns and new clinicians. Kiernan briefly worked at Hospice of Chenango County as the Grief Services Coordinator, and continues to dedicate her time to this agency in the role of a board member. She has carried a small part-time private practice since 2016, which was expanded to full-time when she joined the practice of Mark P. Vogel in 2018.
Kiernan provides treatment to individuals, families, and couples using an eclectic approach with a strong emphasis in concepts of Family Systems Theory.
